Job Description

Job Purpose

To execute operational activities within the Reconciliation Centre, ensuring risks are effectively managed and services are delivered in accordance with agreed SLAs. The role is responsible for managing reconciliations, monitoring operational risks, authorizing manually matched items, reviewing SWIFT correspondence queues, maintaining reconciliation records, supporting reporting activities, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding reconciliation items. Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery

  • Manage exception handling and ensure reconciliation activities are properly assigned and completed on time.
  • Supervise follow-up of outstanding reconciliation items with banks and branches.
  • Execute day-to-day reconciliation operations and ensure activities are performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare and review monthly reconciliation reports and ensure timely resolution of exceptions.
  • Perform reconciliation of Nostro Accounts and Inter-Branch Call Accounts across various business units.
  • Monitor and resolve outstanding reconciliation issues and escalate irregularities through established reporting channels.
  • Review Nostro account statistics and verify service charges.
  • Ensure prompt responses to internal and external client inquiries.
  • Maintain data integrity in reconciliation systems and coordinate with MIS teams to resolve processing issues.
  • Authorize manually matched items with value-date differences and notify relevant departments.
  • Review inbound and outbound SWIFT correspondence queues.
  • Verify monthly reconciliation reports and submit them to management.
  • Support dashboard reporting across assigned account groups and reconciliation platforms.

Risk Management

  • Monitor operational workflows while maintaining strong risk controls.
  • Ensure exceptions are escalated according to approved BAU and escalation matrices.
  • Escalate high-risk items based on Value-at-Risk thresholds.
  • Identify and report operational errors promptly.
  • Ensure business continuity and completion of all activities during staff absences or operational disruptions.

Operational Efficiency

  • Manage workloads efficiently using available resources without compromising service quality or control standards.
