Rabobank’s Global Service Centre, Asia Pacific, based in Sydney, provides operational support to Wholesale & Treasury businesses & their clients across the Asia Pacific region. The Lending and Agency team within Corporate Banking Services performs all aspects of loan processing, reconciliation, fees, settlement and confirmations processes.
As Senior Officer, you will support corporate cash management, providing domestic & cross-border payments services across Asia, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, & regulatory compliance, You will bring a strong eye for detail, knowledge of regional payment products, & a service‑driven mindset.
The team works Monday to Friday from 12:30pm to 9pm so you must be willing & able to work hours these hours to support the Asia time zone. As we have a hybrid work environment, you will work a mix of days in the office & days from home.
Manage end‑to‑end transactions, proactively handling risks, issues, and disruptions.
Deliver accurate, timely settlements that meet or exceed SLAs.
Act as a subject matter expert for complex issues, investigations, and escalations.
Serve as a key contact for wholesale and corporate clients, resolving complex queries.
Support Relationship Managers and stakeholders with expert advice on lending, payments, and operations.
Prepare and validate reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Investigate and resolve transaction, system, and reconciliation issues, identifying root causes.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and drive process improvements, automation, and better client experience.
Support system testing, upgrades, and regulatory changes.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high‑performing team culture.
5+ years’ experience in an operations role within Corporate, Wholesale or Institutional Banking
Knowledge of Regional (Asia) markets, systems and regulations is an advantage.
Strong understanding of Lending Operations with workflow management
Hands-on knowledge of settlements and payments systems(SWIFT, RTGS, FPS, CNAPS, Direct Entry)
Excellent attention to detail & an ability to work to a high level of accuracy
Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
Ability to prioritise, manage pressure, & meet strict deadlines
Client-focused mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach
Continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in automation & digital change.
Mandarin or Cantonese language skills preferred
Willingness & ability to work 12:30pm - 9pm Monday to Friday (mix of in office & at home)
