Step into a pivotal role within a collaborative and high-performing finance services environment where your expertise will help drive operational excellence and informed decision-making. As a Senior Finance Officer, you will lead the delivery of complex finance transaction processing and analysis across a diverse client portfolio, acting as a trusted advisor to colleagues and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with policy and governance requirements. Key responsibilities will include:
Delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality finance transaction services across accounts payable, invoicing, journals, and debtor and credit management.
Providing expert guidance and ‘super user’ support to Finance Officers, resolving complex transactional issues and strengthening team capability.
Reviewing and approving financial transactions in line with delegations of authority, ensuring adherence to policy and governance frameworks.
Preparing financial reporting and analysis, identifying trends, and escalating complex issues to support informed decision-making.
You are a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional who thrives in a collaborative, service-focused environment. You bring both technical expertise and a strong advisory mindset, enabling you to support stakeholders effectively while maintaining high standards of financial governance.
You will demonstrate:
Degree qualifications in accounting, business, commerce, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
Proven experience in finance transaction processing or shared services environments, with the ability to manage complex case work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and ensure data integrity within policy frameworks.
Experience working with enterprise finance systems and technology platforms across multiple modules.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
The ability to lead within a team environment, balancing competing priorities while delivering outcomes to agreed service standards and timeframes.
Demonstrated experience in advisory or service delivery roles within complex organisational or policy-driven environments.
