Job Description
The Senior Officer AVP supports the ADP & AVP Section in administering, inspecting, and enforcing airside driver and vehicle permitting processes across Zayed, Delma, and Sir Bani Yas airports The role ensures compliance with regulatory and company requirements, manages permit systems and records, administers examinations, conducts inspections, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to promote safe and compliant airside operations.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Oversight & Compliance
- Support development, review, and maintenance of Section SOPs, Airside Driving Regulations, and Guides in alignment with company standards, CAR ADR, ICAO requirements, and local SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable airside safety and security regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Promote initiatives to reduce incidents and enhance section performance.
Permitting, Approvals & Records
- Process and approve ADP applications per established procedures.
- Inspect vehicles applying for AVPs before granting controlled airside access.
- Ensure all airside drivers hold valid ADPs and initiate corrective actions for noncompliance.
- Maintain accurate and auditable records of ADP/AVP applications, inspections, approvals, and rejections.
- Maintain monthly and annual ADP/AVP statistics and prepare performance and revenue reports.
Training & Examination Administration
- Register candidates for theory and practical examinations and maintain schedules.
- Administer and oversee theory exams and practical assessments; update examination records in the ADP system.
- Approve ADP equipment categories after verifying required documentation.
Systems & Data Management
- Develop, maintain, and improve online ADP/AVP permit systems.
- Update systems with examination details, results, and candidate records.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and annual statistical summaries.
Inspections, Audits & Enforcement
- Conduct periodic airside inspections to verify compliance with ADP/AVP requirements and follow up on corrective actions.
- Assist in addressing and closing NCRs from internal and external audits.
- Support enforcement actions, including suspension or revocation of ADPs/AVPs.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents, collisions, or damage to Airside Safety.
Stakeholder Liaison & Coordination
- Coordinate airside safety activities with operations, safety, security, logistics, and other internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and promote professional behaviour among airside drivers and support initiatives to improve conduct.
Operational Support
- Perform day‑to‑day ADP/AVP section duties and support the Manager ADP/AVP.
- Assist in closing section issues and action items.
- Carry out other duties as required.
- Mentor junior trainers and guide operational teams to foster continuous learning and safety excellence.
- Travel between Zayed, Delma, and Sir Bani Yas airports as needed.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of CAR ADR, ICAO Annex 14, and airside safety management principles.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in airside operations, vehicle permitting, aerodrome safety, or related functions.
- Experience with permit management systems and data reporting.
- Proven stakeholder liaison and multisite coordination experience.
- Valid UAE/GCC driving licence and ability to obtain airport security pass credentials.
