We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Nutanix Platform Specialist with over 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and a deep expertise in Nutanix solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of Nutanix environments, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and reliability.
Some of the things you will be doing:
Lead the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Nutanix clusters and AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor).
Oversee regular updates and patching of Nutanix software and firmware.
Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Monitor and optimize system performance, addressing any issues that arise.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex hardware, software, and network problems within Nutanix environments.
Collaborate with Nutanix support to resolve advanced technical issues.
Implement and manage robust data backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Conduct regular backup and recovery tests to ensure data integrity.
Develop and enforce security policies and best practices for Nutanix environments.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Lead projects and initiatives to improve infrastructure and operational efficiency.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and Nutanix advancements, sharing knowledge with the team.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of Nutanix configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management with a strong focus on Nutanix environments.
Extensive experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and virtualization technologies.
Expert-level proficiency with Nutanix Prism central, AHV, Nutanix DR and other Nutanix products.
Implementation and designed the Nutanix Cluster Platform
Knowledge on windows Infrastructure and Azure Cloud Infrastructure
Expertise on AOS Upgrades and troubleshoot via LCM or Manual upgrade.
In-depth knowledge of HP/Dell Hardware Resource (i.e Upgrade/Implement/deployment)
In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, AHV,).
Strong Knowledge on Nutanix Protection Domain and Protection policy
Advanced skills in backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault).
Strong understanding of networking concepts and hardware (switches, routers, firewalls).
Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, ansible, terraform).
Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or higher certification (Nutanix Certified Expert - NCX) preferred.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and lead a team.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with additional virtualization platforms (Citrix, OpenStack).
Project management experience with a proven track record of leading successful infrastructure projects.
