• Provides routine treatments and interventions consistent with the educational level and skills learned in the academic environmentand demonstrated competency through Orlando Health.• Performs advanced skills after achieving demonstrated competencies such as: nasogastric tube irrigation, suctioning, and removal;wound irrigation; complex dressing change; maintenance of enteral tube feeding (Dobhoff, Nasogastric, and PercutaneousEndoscopic Gastrostomy); and tracheostomy care.• Performs increased or continuous visual observation for Baker Act, behavioral health, and suicide risk patients as assigned and utilizesthe Safe Patient Room Environment Checklist during staff changes or transfer of care for Baker Act, behavioral health, and suiciderisk patients.• Assists patients with hygiene, mobility, and nutritional needs.• Maintainssafety and security of patients, families, self, and other members of the healthcare team.• Ensures patient privacy, rights, and confidentiality.• Followsstandard precautions. Education/Training• Enrolled in an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program and preparing to enter thefinal two semesters or quarter of the appliable nursing program OR completed nursing program and does not have currentFL license.
Licensure/CertificationMaintains current BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
