The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our innovative Brain Mapping Center. The Brain Mapping Center advances the understanding of the human brain by exploring the relationship between structure and function. As our Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist you will play a critical role in supporting cutting-edge research by performing and managing sophisticated imaging procedures. You will work in a collaborative, research-driven environment alongside leading neuroscientists and clinicians. Key responsibilities:
Salary range: $60.51/hr - $79.82/hr
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiological Program OR Degree in a related scientific field (required)California Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) License (required)Nuclear Medicine Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (required)BCLS/CPR Certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross - (preferred)Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist-(required)Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles (required)Proficiency in imaging procedures, radiopharmaceutical preparation, and quality control techniques (required)Ability to work safely in a 3 Tesla MRI environment
Venipuncture certificate (preferred)
Proficiency in PET image acquisition and protocol setup (preferred)
Familiarity with radiopharmaceutical (ex: F18, O15) (preferred)
Experience with Siemens MRI scanners (preferred)
Knowledge of regulatory compliance (FDA, IRB, Environmental Health & Safety)
