Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Handle network related activities including switch configurations
Configuration and troubleshooting of network equipment (e.g Cisco switch and routers)
Performing configuration and implementation of network infrastructure (including routers, switches, servers, DWDM and network acceleration/QoS appliances)
Installation and test and commissioning of network devices
Monitoring of network performance and integrity
Issues resolution and troubleshooting on network infrastructure
Ensuring currency of network diagrams and support documentation ( for as-built, configuration documentation and Quick Reference Guides).
Requirements:
Good understanding of network switching, routing and telephony protocols, LAN and WAN
Advanced experience with and ability to interpret complex network diagrams
Advanced experience with and ability to troubleshoot network equipment in a complex multi-site business
Solid background in network administration and architecture
In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
Familiarity with access control models and network security
Cisco Certification (CCNP, CCIE)
Network monitoring: SolarWinds
IPAM Administration
Understanding of Cloud Networking systems
Good understanding of Firewalls: Cisco ASA and Palo Alto
Performance/EUC monitoring: Thousand Eyes
