Remote Network Engineer (Cisco / Meraki / Palo Alto)
Location: Remote (located in LATAM)
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern
On-Call: As needed for major network incidents only (not a heavy rotation)
We are hiring a hands-on Network Engineer to support and administer enterprise network infrastructure in a production-critical environment. This role is execution-focused and requires deep experience with routing, switching, and firewall administration This is not a NOC or monitoring-only role. Candidates with experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, especially automotive, are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching environments
- Support Cisco and Cisco Meraki network infrastructure (switching, wireless, security appliances)
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, including policies, NAT, VPNs, and security rules
- Own network issues end-to-end, from investigation through resolution
- Respond to major network incidents on an as-needed basis
- Support production and business-critical systems with high uptime requirements
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain stable, secure network operations
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching
- Strong experience with Cisco Meraki
- Solid Palo Alto firewall administration experience
- Strong understanding of:
- VLANs
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- VPNs
- Network security best practices
- Experience supporting enterprise or production environments
- Comfortable being the engineer who actually fixes the issue, not just escalates
