Position: Senior .NET Developer Location: Toronto, ON Job ID#: RQ11339 Duration: 12 Months Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud platforms to support the design, development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements and functional specifications into scalable, secure, and fully tested solutions while contributing to the development of modern cloud-based applications and integrated platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable web and desktop applications. Translate business requirements and functional specifications into working software solutions. Develop enhancements, perform troubleshooting, and provide break/fix support for enterprise systems. Build integrated application platforms and implement connectivity between enterprise systems. Participate in full software development lifecycle activities including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support. Contribute to cloud-native application development using Microsoft Azure technologies. Support CI/CD implementations and DevOps practices. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to develop effective technology solutions. Apply industry standards, accessibility requirements, and security best practices. Participate in Agile software development activities. Support knowledge transfer activities and documentation efforts. Mandatory Qualifications 10+ years of experience building and maintaining stable, secure, and scalable web and desktop applications using Azure Cloud and Microsoft .NET technologies. Demonstrated experience with full lifecycle development and implementation using: Microsoft Azure .NET / .NET Core C# / MVC Entity Framework ReactJS HTML5, CSS, JavaScript Azure DevOps Azure Web Apps Azure Functions Azure Logic Apps Experience implementing DevOps CI/CD practices. 5+ years of experience designing, building, modelling, and configuring database management systems. Technical Skills & Experience Application Development Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications. Senior-level experience with: .NET Core MVC Entity Framework ReactJS Azure Web Apps Azure Functions Establish development and testing best practices. Perform code reviews and quality assurance activities. Create and manage Azure build pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployments. Database Management Experience with Azure SQL Database and SQL Server including: Backup and restore procedures User administration utilizing Azure AD Database performance tuning and maintenance Performance monitoring Capacity planning and forecasting Data masking processes Data migration activities Data design support for development teams Additional Technical Experience Azure Cloud architecture and implementation Azure DevOps Team Foundation Server (TFS) Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) Microsoft Web Services Visual Studio 2022 Front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or VueJS Prototyping and UI development HTML5, CSS3, XML Soft Skills & Competencies Problem Solving & Analysis Analyze and resolve complex system issues with minimal business impact. Assess business and technical requirements. Develop cost-effective IT solutions that improve service delivery. Plan, schedule, monitor, and evaluate technical work. Communication & Collaboration Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. Support innovation and experimentation initiatives. Preferred Experience Previous experience within large enterprise environments. Experience working on public sector application development projects. Experience supporting enterprise-scale application portfolios. Work Arrangement Onsite: 5 days per week in Toronto, Ontario. Knowledge Transfer Participate in regular knowledge transfer sessions. Ensure all design documentation, application documentation, and source code are appropriately maintained and transferred.
