About role

We are working exclusively with a major Australian health insurance organisation to find a sharp, performance-minded .NET engineer who can hit the ground running on a critical enterprise integration programme. This is a pure delivery role — you'll be building high-performance, fault-tolerant integration pipelines connecting enterprise platforms at scale, backed by a strong Engineering Lead and Senior Developer who own architecture so you can focus entirely on execution.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building and optimising NET-based integration pipelines using RESTful APIs and asynchronous webhook architectures across a complex enterprise ecosystem
  • Writing resource-efficient, enterprise-grade code — memory-conscious, CPU-optimised, and performant under high load
  • Implementing concurrency and parallelism patterns (async/await, TPL, multi-threading) to safely handle large-batch data processing
  • Building self-healing, fault-tolerant pipelines — retries, circuit breakers, exponential back-off — because there is no human operator in the loop
  • Working with message brokers and event-driven architecture (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka) to decouple and scale processing
  • Applying TDD and SOLID principles to keep the integration codebase modular, testable, and regression-free
  • Connecting to enterprise platforms including Salesforce, Dynamics, SailPoint, and Entra ID (prior exposure helpful but not required)

Skills We're Looking For

Essential

  • NET Core / C# — .NET Core / .NET 8+, C#, modern async patterns — 3+ years professional experience
  • Concurrency & Parallelism — TPL, multi-threading, async/await — real production examples, no race conditions
  • Fault Tolerance — circuit breakers, retries, exponential back-off, idempotent resumable pipelines
  • Messaging / Event-Driven — Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka — at least one in production
  • API & Webhooks — RESTful API design, high-volume async webhooks, deduplication, failure handling
  • TDD & SOLID — Test-Driven Development in practice — high coverage, modular, maintainable code

Desirable

  • Enterprise Platform Experience — Salesforce, Dynamics, SailPoint, Entra ID — or any comparable CRM / IAM platform
  • Cloud / DevOps — Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP — Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Functions, YAML config
