Job Description

What you will do

Backend architecture & development

· Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient backend services using C# and the .NET (.NET Core) framework.

· Build and evolve licensing‑related domain services, ensuring correctness, security, and high availability.

· Translate functional and non‑functional requirements into clean, maintainable backend designs aligned with architectural standards.

APIs & integrations

· Design and implement RESTful APIs that enable reliable communication between frontend, backend, and external systems.

· Integrate third‑party services and APIs, ensuring robustness, error handling, and observability.

· Contribute to API versioning, backward compatibility, and contract stability.

Data & persistence

· Design, implement, and optimize relational database models (SQL), with a strong focus on data integrity and performance.

· Analyze and resolve data‑related bottlenecks and scalability challenges.

Quality & reliability

· Write high‑quality, testable code supported by unit and integration tests.

· Collaborate closely with QA to ensure defects are detected early and resolved effectively.

· Proactively identify performance, stability, and security risks—and address them before they impact customers.

Operational excellence

· Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

· Use GitHub for source control, code reviews, and collaborative development.

· Participate in deployment, release, and operational support activities, in collaboration with DevOps.

Team contribution

· Actively contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Share knowledge, challenge assumptions constructively, and help raise the overall engineering bar.

What you bring

Required experience & skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of professional experience as a .NET backend developer or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in C# and the .NET / .NET Core ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proven experience with SQL databases and data modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross‑functional, international teams.
  • Clear communicator, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Nice to have / strong plus

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑aware development.
  • Experience building or maintaining platform, licensing, entitlement, or security‑sensitive systems.
  • Contributions to open‑source projects or active participation in developer communities.
