Senior Motion Graphic Designer - DotYeti

Important Note: This role requires mid shift working hours (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Lagos, Nigeria Time).

We're looking for a high-impact Senior Motion Yeti, a visual storyteller who transforms brand concepts into dynamic, high-conversion motion assets. Operating at the intersection of design, technology, and video production, you will handle everything from bite-sized social loops to complex technical animations, ensuring brand consistency across all moving formats.

You'll play a vital role in elevating static visuals into engaging motion-driven narratives that resonate across social, web, and display platforms.

What you'll do:

• Collaborative Design: Collaborate with the design team to develop project concepts and visual strategies.
• Video Editing & UGC Production Transform raw footage, including user-generated content (UGC) into polished, conversion-focused brand narratives optimized for social media and ads.
• Motion Graphics & Animation: Create high-quality 2D animations, logo animations, infographic animations, and explainer videos that deliver clear and compelling messages.
• Character Animation & Storyboarding: Develop storyboards and execute full character animations for narrative-driven projects and explainer content.
• Dynamic Layouts & Kinetic Typography: Produce motion assets featuring kinetic typography, dynamic transitions, and visually engaging layouts that enhance storytelling.
• Software Proficiency: Utilize Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro to create high-quality content.
• Design Optimization & Best Practices:
  Ensure motion outputs are optimized for various platforms (social, web, display ads) while maintaining strong performance and brand consistency.

Our ideal candidate:

• Has significant proven design experience.
• Possesses a strong portfolio showcasing animations, explainer videos, social ads, and performance-driven content
• Proficient with design software and technologies (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, etc).
• Strong understanding of social media video formats and conversion-focused creatives
• Has a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• With excellent communication and time management skills.
• Has strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Bonus Points for:

• Previous startup and/or design agency experience.
• Experience producing paid social ads or performance marketing creatives
• Experience handling motion projects for MSMEs, large corporations, and entrepreneurial initiatives
• Experience creating HTML5 banner ads
• Familiarity with Lottie (JSON) animations for web/app integration
• Experience producing optimized GIFs and interactive motion assets that bridge static UI/UX with dynamic elements
