Senior Mobile Developer (React Native) | Freelance Contract

Workload: Part-time (approximately 5% allocation, on-call support in scheduled blocks)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Developer to support the development, maintenance, testing, and deployment of mobile applications within a public-sector digital environment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the full mobile application lifecycle, from development and automated testing through to deployment and ongoing support. You will work closely with an Agile team and help ensure high-quality mobile solutions across Android and iOS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native and cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Design, build, test, and publish mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Implement automated testing strategies and maintain testing frameworks for mobile solutions.
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize mobile application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
• Support application releases and production deployments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing mobile applications for Android and/or iOS.
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native.
• Proven experience testing, building, and publishing mobile applications.
• Experience working with Azure Pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Experience working within Scrum or Agile development teams.
• Dutch language proficiency at CEFR C2 level (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Azure Pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience with React Native in enterprise environments.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks for mobile applications.
• Experience using Bitbucket for source code management.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and deployment processes.
