As a Senior Mobile Developer, you will:

  • Design, build, andmaintainhigh-performance mobile applications using React Native, with strong knowledge of iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) for bridging and optimisation
  • Ensure applications meet scalability, performance, accessibility, and securitybest practices.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and QA Engineersto translate ideas into seamless mobile experiences.
  • Design and implement seamless integrations with backend systems and cloud services,leveragingREST APIs to deliver reliable, scalable, and performant mobile experiences
  • Apply a test-first mindset, building automated tests (unit, integration, E2E)
  • Continuously enhance the CI/CD pipeline, enabling fast, reliable, and low-risk releases.
  • Optimiseapp performance through profiling, debugging, and monitoring tools.
  • Implement mobile security measures (OAuth, JWT, biometric authentication) andcomply withprivacy standards
  • Participate actively in code reviews, architecture discussions, and retrospectives, shaping how we evolve as a team.
  • Contribute to a culture of learning and excellence, sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and staying current with mobile technology trends.

We’relooking for a curious, growth-minded engineer with:

  • 5+ years of mobile engineering experience, with strong production experience in React Native.
  • Production experience with Expo, including Expo Modules, config plugins, and native app configuration
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android native development,including Swift, Kotlin, platform APIs, app permissions, push notifications, deep linking, and release workflows.
  • Experience building andmaintainingsharedcomponentlibraries or design systems for mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile UI engineering, including responsive layouts, animations, accessibility, and performance optimisation
  • Practical experience with TanStackQueryfor server-state management, caching, invalidation,andoptimistic updates
  • Experience with Zustandor similar client-state libraries, with a clear understanding of when to separate client state from server state.
  • Experience writing automated testsfor mobile applications using tools such as Detox, Maestro, Appium, Jest, or React Native Testing Library.
  • Strong working knowledge of CI/CD, Git workflows, feature flags, build automation, and continuous deliveryfor mobile apps.
  • Proven experience shipping apps to the App Store and Google Play, including release management, store compliance, staged rollouts, monitoring, crash reporting, and post-release support.
  • A strong quality mindset, with experience building secure, resilient, observable, and maintainable mobile applications.
  • Clear communication skills, strong technical judgement, and the ability to mentor other engineers.
  • Practical fluency with AI-assisted engineering tools,including using AI to accelerate development,testing, debugging,documentation, code review, and technical discovery whilemaintainingstrong engineering standards

Nice to have

  • Experience working with NETor C#-based backendsandweb technologies
  • Exposure to AI/MLconcepts or libraries, or interest in experimenting with AI in real products
  • Experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, or similar)
  • Experience working with an e-commerce platform
  • Familiarity with serverlessarchitecture or container-based deployment in AWS
  • Understanding of TDD, QA-as-code, and shift-left testing approaches
