About the Role:

Paul Davis Restoration of Central CT is looking for an experienced Senior Mitigation Technician who takes pride in quality work and enjoys helping others succeed.

This is a hands-on field role serving property owners affected by water, fire, mold, and other property damage. In addition to performing mitigation work, you will serve as an experienced resource for other technicians, provide guidance on job sites, and help keep projects safe, organized, and moving forward.

You will work closely with the Mitigation Project Manager to follow the established scope, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate progress or concerns. The right candidate takes initiative, leads by example, and treats customers and coworkers with professionalism and respect.

Why Join Our Team?

We are growing locally and offer experienced technicians the opportunity to build their technical skills, develop leadership abilities, and make a meaningful difference in their community.

We offer health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and performance-based bonus opportunities. Our development opportunities include paid training, industry certifications, Paul Davis University, monthly cross-training, and leadership development. We also offer scheduling flexibility to help accommodate personal needs while maintaining full-time responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in water mitigation, restoration, or a related field is preferred. You should have strong knowledge of water mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, and industry-standard restoration procedures.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to lead and support mitigation crews, assess job-site conditions, recognize potential problems, and communicate concerns to management.
  • You bring strong customer service, communication, organization, and documentation skills, along with a willingness to train and support less-experienced technicians.
  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification is preferred. Additional IICRC certifications are a plus.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and can work nights, weekends, and overtime and participate in an on-call rotation when needed.
  • You can frequently lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding restoration work.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and help lead water mitigation, structural drying, tarping, board-up, mold remediation, carpet cleaning and reinstallation, and other assigned restoration services. Support asbestos and lead abatement coordination as needed, following Paul Davis and industry standards.
  • Provide hands-on guidance, training, and support to Mitigation Technicians. Lead by example, reinforce safe work practices, and take a field leadership role when appropriate.
  • Assist with evaluating affected areas, determining appropriate drying and mitigation procedures, and completing work according to the established scope. Set up, monitor, document, and remove drying equipment.
  • Maintain accurate moisture readings, photos, equipment logs, and other required job documentation. Promptly communicate progress, unexpected conditions, scope changes, and customer concerns to the Mitigation Project Manager.
  • Provide professional, courteous service to homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and other stakeholders. Help maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites and properly care for company equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
  • Assist with warehouse and facility responsibilities, support other team members as needed, remain accessible by phone, and participate in the required on-call schedule.
