About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our dynamic and high-performing Technical Services team. Reporting to the Short-Term Planning Superintendent, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and achievable mine plans while working closely with operational stakeholders to optimise production outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimise the site's short-term production schedules, including destination and haulage scheduling.
Collaborate with Operations and key stakeholders to ensure mine schedules are safe, practical, and aligned with production objectives.
Monitor adherence to the mine schedule and drive continuous improvement through proactive stakeholder engagement.
Coordinate planning activities across Technical Services and Operations to ensure timely delivery of weekly plans and other critical business objectives.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Mining Engineers within the Technical Services team to build capability and foster professional development.
Analyse operational performance and implement planning improvements to maximise productivity, equipment utilisation, and value.
Support operational decision-making by providing timely technical advice and planning solutions.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or similar discipline.
Experience using Spry, Deswik and Vulcan software packages.
Well-developed interpersonal skills as this role deals with all levels of staff and management.
A flexible attitude and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and problem solve.
Proven previous experience in multiple short term planning roles.
