Are you an experienced Open Pit Mining Engineer looking to shape the future of a high-performing WA gold operation? We’re seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity, based at our owner-operated open cut gold mine in Western Australia.
Aurenne is a family-owned company bringing innovation and flexibility to gold recovery, operating at Mt Ida-Bottle Creek in the Goldfields, 80 km north-west of Menzies. Safety, quality, and teamwork drive everything we do.

Work Scope:
Working an 8:6 FIFO roster ex Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie.
You will provide technical direction and expertise in mine engineering and planning activities, while being instrumental in developing plans, schedules, and mine development strategies that drive productivity improvements, optimise mining operations, and maximize profitability.

Your Role Includes:
• Prepare and develop weekly plans aligned with the integrated mine plans.
• Evaluating mining methods to drive performance improvements.
• Producing detailed reports and contributing to financial analysis to reduce mining costs.
• Ensuring full compliance with mine safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical input into the planning and coordinating of blasting activities.
• Implement pit designs, dump designs, and bench plans, ensuring efficient ore recovery.
• Participate in daily meetings to provide direction on mining activities.
• Contribute to incident investigations and implement findings to improve operational safety and efficiency
Qualifications and Experience
• A bachelor’s degree in mining engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience in mine engineering, including 5+ years in open pit and at least 2 years in gold mining.
• Proficiency with Deswik mine design and planning software and MS office suite.
• Strong technical, problem solving and analytical capabilities.
• A commitment to high standards in safety, and environment sustainability
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a police clearance.
