Worth Being Upfront About

MEC is a specialist technical mining consultancy; not a labour hire company. We have a large and highly experienced mining engineering who team pride ourselves on our ability to create practical solutions to complex problems.

We’ll always aim to put you on work that interests and challenges you, with exposure that supports rapid professional development. The reality of consulting is that opportunities are ultimately driven by the projects we win, so we can’t guarantee that every assignment will perfectly align with your interests or development goals.

Depending on the engagement, you may work from a client’s office in Perth, FIFO/DIDO on site, from MEC’s Perth office, or a mix of all three, with a variety of rosters. You could be embedded for a few weeks, months or longer term (i.e. 6 months, 12 months+). We will always consult with you first, but location and rosters are driven by client requirements.

Most of our consultants are client embedded. This gives our clients direct access to specialist expertise, and gives our consultants valuable, boots-on-ground knowledge of our clients’ operations, people and the challenges they’re trying to address.
