You will be reporting to Metallurgy Superintendent, you will be part of the Mill Department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Process Optimization: Analyze and improve milling processes to maximize efficiency and recovery rates;
Quality Control: Monitor and ensure the quality of the final product meets industry standards;
Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret metallurgical data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues within the milling process to minimize downtime and enhance productivity;
Project Management: Lead and manage metallurgical projects from conception to completion;
Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance and mentorship to junior metallurgists and other team members;
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on metallurgical performance and present findings to senior management;
Safety Compliance: Ensure all metallurgical processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred;
Minimum of 7 years of experience in mill metallurgy, with a proven track record of process optimization and team leadership;
Proficiency in metallurgical software and data analysis tools such as Pi Aveva.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off from Tuesday to Friday, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON. This will change to 7 X 7 rotation when required.

Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
