A Day in the Life:

JOB SUMMARY

  • Support the RTW business for Mainland China, with strong focus on product relevance, styling impact, and commercial performance.
  • Build locally relevant assortment proposals by combining market insight, fashion trend understanding, and customer needs.
  • Partner closely with Senior Manager, RTW, Greater China to execute seasonal buying, product lifecycle follow-up, retail communication, and business analysis.
  • Support total look styling opportunities across RTW, bags, footwear, and accessories to strengthen brand storytelling and store execution.
  • Act as a proactive, curious, and collaborative merchandising partner who embraces new technology to improve work efficiency and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support seasonal RTW buying preparation, including market feedback, product analysis, size and fit comments, and styling relevance.
  • Monitor Mainland China RTW sales, sell-through, inventory, markdown, and product performance to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Provide clear weekly and seasonal business updates with actionable insights for Senior Manager, RTW, Greater China.
  • Support assortment planning by analyzing customer needs, local market trends, store feedback, and competitor movement.
  • Develop styling-focused product messages and total look recommendations to support retail teams and strengthen client engagement.
  • Partner with Retail, VM, Training, Planning, Allocation, and Marketing to ensure smooth product launches and consistent store execution.
  • Support product lifecycle management, including reorder opportunities, stock balancing, markdown proposal, and exit strategy follow-up.
  • Prepare concise product tools, retail communication, training support, and styling guidance for stores.
  • Use digital tools, data platforms, and new technology to improve analysis, communication, and daily work efficiency.
  • Stay curious and self-driven in learning new market trends, fashion styling, customer behavior, and merchandising best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years’ experience in fashion merchandising, buying, product, or retail merchandising; RTW experience is preferred.
  • Strong styling sense and good understanding of fashion relevance, trend direction, customer needs, and product storytelling.
  • Good commercial sense with ability to read sales performance, identify business opportunities, and turn data into clear actions.
  • Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented, with strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills and ability to work smoothly with cross-functional partners.
  • Open-minded and adaptable, with willingness to embrace new technology and tools to optimize work efficiency.
  • Self-learner with curiosity for fashion, market trends, customer behavior, and new ways of working.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office skills; experience with merchandising or reporting systems is a plus.
