Key Responsibilites & Deliverables
Sourcing and development of new suppliers and new products
Perform tasks independently or with minimal supervision from the line manager:
- Source and develop new suppliers & products at right quality with lowest price
- Coordinate buying trips and facilitate buying meetings
Supplier Negotiation and Management
Perform tasks independently or with minimal supervision from the line manager:
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, MOQ, delivery date and other aspects for both new line and repeating line
- Develop and execute supplier engagement plans to enhance supplier capabilities with priority being pre-defined
- Supervise Production Merchandiser on supplier performance improvement
Critical path management
Perform tasks independently or with minimal supervision from the line manager:
- Set up end-to-end (from new line sourcing to delivery) critical path at department and/or supplier level for each buying season
- Establish critical paths of other tasks when required
- Govern the critical path execution
Task Planning and Project Excution
Perform tasks independently or with minimal supervision from the line manager:
- Develop project execution plans and department-level tasks
- Coordinate with key stakeholders and establish a prioritized task list
- Take the lead in executing these tasks and ensure effective governance of deliverables
