Reporting to the Head of Product, this full-time role will be the key player in effectively planning and managing our merchandise for ECCO across Australia & New Zealand.

About the role:

ECCO Shoes Pacific is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Merchandise Planner to join our amazing supportive team in our Support Centre at Norwest Business Park! Reporting to the Head of Product, this full-time role drives strategic merchandise planning across categories/channels, driving business performance through advanced forecasting, analytics, inventory optimisation, and commercial decision-making aligned to business objectives.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage category plans and forecasts aligned to budget and reforecast targets
  • Drive assortment planning by product attribute, store grading, and customer demand
  • Provide strategic recommendations to maximise profitability, stock productivity, and revenue growth
  • Influence seasonal planning direction and commercial decision-making
  • Drive inventory optimisation strategy across categories and channels
  • Drive strategic stock productivity initiatives
  • Develop advanced inventory forecasting and replenishment frameworks
  • Provide strategic insights to influence merchandise build of AUNZ OTB and SKU plans by season/month/category
  • Provides insights to inform trading decisions through advanced commercial analysis
  • Assists Head of Product in development of pricing, markdown, and lifecycle strategies aligned to profitability goals
  • Provide executive-level reporting and commercial insights to support business strategy
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across Product, Retail, Ecommerce, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Design advanced reporting frameworks, dashboards, and automated analytical solutions using Power BI and advanced Excel modelling
  • Works highly autonomously with ability to manage complex priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Leads planning best practice, supports capability development of junior team memberss, and drives capability uplift across the function

Skills & Experience:

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Sales analysis and forecasting ability
  • Excel – intermediate to advanced level
  • SAP experience or similar
  • A highly proactive and collaborative approach to your work
  • Well organised with excellent planning skills
  • Strong attention to detail with attention to high quality
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills
  • Be innovative, ask questions and be assertive where needed
  • Quick learner
