Job Description

Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all.

Build scalable, reliable full-stack capabilities that help simplify clinical documentation and support smoother provider workflows. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain software components across the backend and frontend for products that reduce manual effort and improve the consistency of documentation experiences. This position is based in Pune, India and is an in-person role. You will report to the Engineering Manager.

About the Team

Our team builds solutions that help providers complete clinical documentation with less manual effort during patient encounters. We focus on backend and frontend capabilities that power workflows intended to reduce documentation burden, minimize interruptions during visits, and help preserve a more natural conversational flow. We design and deliver these capabilities with reliable, scalable engineering practices, continuously improving accuracy, usability, performance, and operational robustness. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will contribute to the engineering foundations and execution details that help these workflows perform well, scale effectively, and remain dependable in production. You will work closely with product, design, QA, and engineering partners to translate requirements into well-structured software solutions, while also supporting issue resolution, code quality, and incremental improvements to the platform.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develop full-stack software features and services using Java, Spring, JavaScript/jQuery, React, AWS, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
  • Design maintainable application components and integrations that support scalable and reliable clinical documentation workflows.
  • Implement backend APIs, data access patterns, and frontend user experiences aligned to product and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, QA partners, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver planned work.
  • Analyze application behavior, logs, and system output to identify root causes and resolve defects efficiently.
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability across application layers, including caching, database access, and UI responsiveness.
  • Write unit, integration, and regression tests to support quality, stability, and safe delivery of changes.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions to strengthen engineering standards and shared understanding.
  • Support deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness activities for services running in AWS environments.
  • Use AI-enabled tools as available to improve productivity, accelerate learning, and support code understanding, while applying human judgment to review outputs and confirm accuracy.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical documentation for features, APIs, troubleshooting, and implementation details.
  • Assist with release coordination and issue triage during development and post-release support.
  • Learn new tools, frameworks, and engineering practices as the product and platform evolve.
  • Help improve development workflows, build processes, and team engineering practices.
  • Share knowledge with teammates through discussions, reviews, and documentation updates.
  • Participate in planning activities by estimating tasks and identifying technical dependencies.
  • Monitor assigned areas for opportunities to improve code quality, supportability, and user experience.

Expected Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 to 7 years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack development.
  • Hands-on experience with Java and Spring for building server-side applications.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript/jQuery and React for building user interfaces.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and relational data modeling or query development.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis or similar caching technology.
  • Exposure to AWS services and cloud-based application development or deployment.
  • Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including debugging, testing, version control, and code review practices.
  • Ability to work in an in-person team environment in Pune, India.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical partners.
