Labcorp is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist (Special Chemistry / Immunology) to join our team in Singapore.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform specimen reception, preparation, and packing of specimens
  • Carry out specimen analysis, operate, maintain and troubleshoot the analyzers and validation of results
  • Able to troubleshoot and explain basic problems and escalate when required
  • Knowledgeable on Quality Control (QC) (eg. Westgard, criteria, EQA) and verification of QC results and assist to troubleshoot issues
  • Adhere to the department’s standard operating procedures and safety requirements
  • Assist in the supervision and guiding of junior staff
  • Revise or write new SOP.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical or biological science from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years or more working experience in a clinical laboratory with experience performing ELISA/ELX800, ECL or multiplex immunoassays. Job position will be offered based on experience and qualifications.
  • Prior work experience in CRO / central laboratory setting will be highly advantageous.
  • Prior bench experience in EIA and ELISA will be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge in usage of Abbott Architect or Thermo Phadia or MSD Mesosector Discovery analyzers will be preferred.

Additional Job Standards:

  • Able to handle high workload in a fast-paced environment with good problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses positive work attitude and is responsible, meticulous, and efficient
  • Works well independently, in a team and/or in a leadership role
  • Able to handle extensive manual laboratory testing duties.
  • Work shift: Monday – Friday/Tuesday - Saturday.
  • Comfortable with OT and working on PH/weekends (if required only).
