  • Execution of Waste Handling lots (cost, quality, schedule responsibility) under Equipment & Packages Engineering Manager coordination
  • Coordination and delivery of Concept and Basic Engineering, including internal/external interface management
  • Preparation of technical specifications for procurement packages (waste reception, storage, feeding systems, waste cranes, bottom ash cranes, and related equipment)
  • Supplier selection, offer evaluation, and timely placement of purchase orders
  • Supplier expediting during detailed engineering, including documentation control, inspections, and FATs
  • Cross-functional collaboration with procurement, arrangement planning, civil, electrical, and process departments
  • Interface clarification across disciplines and plant lots
  • Installation/commissioning support, technical troubleshooting during project execution and operation, and knowledge transfer (standardization and lessons learned)

Qualifications

  • Strong process and product knowledge in Waste Handling systems
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (FH/ETH or technical university)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial plant engineering
  • Experience with crane systems (waste cranes, bottom ash cranes, bulk material handling, grab cranes preferred)
  • Background in Energy from Waste, power generation, or heavy industry advantageous
  • Experience in supplier management, procurement of complex systems, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Experience in project execution, supplier coordination, and delivery of complex mechanical systems in plant engineering
  • Fluent English; German is an advantage, plus willingness to travel internationally (supplier visits, FATs, site support)
