Job Description

We are seeking highly experienced professionals to fill Senior Mechanical Engineer and Senior Mining Geologist roles at a leading coal mining project in Mbeya, Tanzania. These senior positions will play a key role in building and leading teams to drive the success of the coal mining operation.

Location: Mbeya, Tanzania

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

1. Extensive experience in mechanical systems and machinery within the coal mining sector
2. ?Proven track record in leading engineering teams in coal mine operations

1. Expertise in mine equipment management, maintenance strategies, and reliability engineering
2. Strong problem-solving and project management skills

SENIOR MINING GEOLOGIST

1. Deep understanding of geological mapping and analysis for coal mining
2. Strong background in coal reserve estimation, resource evaluation and geological modeling.
3. Proven leadership experience in geological surveys, exploration and mine planning
4. ?4Expertise in environmental and safety protocols for coal mining

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage teams of engineers and geologists
• Oversee the design, maintenance, and optimization of mining equipment
• Conduct geological surveys and resource evaluation for efficient coal extraction
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Geology
2. 5+ years of experience in coal mining operations

1. Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills
2. Hands-on experience in coal mining is a must
