Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and take on a key role in our rotating equipments department. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment in the oil and gas industry. You will work closely with our clients and project teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all rotating equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and clients on all matters related to rotating equipment, including selection, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of rotating equipment performance, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for rotating equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Review and approve design and engineering documents for rotating equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Participate in equipment inspections and audits, providing technical expertise and recommendations for improvement.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to develop their skills and expertise.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in rotating equipment technology, and make recommendations for their implementation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on rotating equipment in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices for the operation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
- Experience with design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for analysis and evaluation of rotating equipment performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on technical data and information.
- A commitment to safety and a strong understanding of HSE regulations and procedures.
- Professional engineering certification is preferred.
