Job Description

Company Description

Welcome to Kanadevia Inova, a global innovation leader in the waste infrastructure space, where we believe in creating a sustainable future through technology and innovation.

Transforming Waste into Value

At Kanadevia Inova, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of waste-to-X technology. We are not just waste managers; we are creators of value from what communities discard. Your role at Kanadevia Inova directly contributes to turning something once considered useless - waste - into something invaluable: energy, heat, hydrogen, fertilizer, and beyond.

Job Description

  • Prepare conceptual and basic engineering documentation, and issue RFQ/PO Technical Specification Documents for third-party equipment and in-house HZI products.
  • Lead technical negotiations with suppliers, work with the System Procurement Manager on shortlisting and award decisions, and supervise supplier engineering progress through to FIW/FAT at their premises.
  • Manage and coordinate interfaces with other disciplines and third parties (client, consortium partners), drive robust design freezes, and ensure supplier documents, engineering lists and BOQs are complete, accurate and on schedule.
  • Resolve engineering issues, support claims and non-conformities, and help clarify construction and commissioning issues on site.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are met and lead deviation clarification, and deputise for the Engineering Manager during longer absences, or run a small project or a large project with a few packages as Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role on large EPC projects, with solid knowledge of WtX, RG, PtX or Carbon Capture plant products, equipment and packages.
  • Experience with relevant standards and codes, and a good understanding of technical cost drivers. Construction or commissioning experience is an advantage.
  • Proven collaboration, communication and presentation skills: you can lead technical discussions, explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders, and work across teams in different locations and countries.
  • Fluent written and spoken English (other languages are welcome), a problem-solving mindset with root cause analysis skills, good MS Office skills, and experience with engineering databases, document management systems or 3D tools.
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers or site up to 10% of the time.
