Job Description

Our client, a leading M&E consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Dublin on a contract basis for an estimated 12 to 18 months. This role will oversee mechanical design and delivery across a portfolio of healthcare projects, taking ownership from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Mechanical Services design on projects from concept stage through to completion.
• Oversee specification and design of mechanical building services systems for healthcare environments.
• Manage continuous design and installation quality checks and control.
• Provide fully detailed tender packages, tender reports, analysis and recommendations.
• Develop project scope in collaboration with the design team and client.
• Uphold mechanical design standards within the organisation.
• Manage client relations, including prospective presentations and stakeholder communications.
• Identify and implement technology trends including digital transformation, smart systems and cloud computing.
• Mentor and provide technical oversight to junior and graduate engineers within the team.

Requirements

• Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in building services engineering design, with a track record operating at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations.
• Experience leading a design team alongside architects, civil, structural and fire consultants.
• Strong technical report writing and stakeholder communication skills.
