The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • Use established engineering codes and practices to prepare:
    • Mechanical data sheets
    • Engineering drawings for fabrication
  • Design and develop process equipment such as:
    • Loss-in-weight feeders
    • Conveyors
    • Bagging machines
    • Tray / Packed columns
    • Shell & Tube heat exchangers
    • Pressure vessels
    • API storage tanks
    • Silos and large bins
    • FRP/PTFE lined equipment
    • Plate heat exchangers
    • Air-cooled heat exchangers
    • Rotary airlock valves
    • Pumps
  • Prepare enquiry documents for equipment
  • Perform technical evaluation of vendor offers
  • Conduct technical discussions with vendors
  • Prepare:
    • Technical recommendations
    • Order specifications
  • Review vendor drawings and:
    • Resolve technical issues
  • Support detailed engineering activities

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum 8 - 15 years of experience.
  • Graduate or Master’s degree in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering

Training and Experience

  • First-class graduate/postgraduate in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in:
    • Static and packaged equipment design.
    • Engineering consultancy or reputed equipment fabrication design office.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards, including:
    • ASME Sec VIII (Div 1 & Div 2)
    • PD-5500
    • EN 13445
    • IS 2825
    • API 650, API 620, API 610
    • TEMA
    • IBR
    • SMPV Rules
  • Hands-on experience with design software:
    • PV Elite
    • Compress
  • Preferred industry experience:
    • Oil & Gas
    • Refinery
    • Fertilizer sector

Other Essential Functions

  • Ability to:
    • Follow work procedures and standard practices independently.
  • Knowledge of:
    • National and international electrical codes and standards.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams.
    • Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues.

Physical Requirements

  • Good overall health.
  • Ability to:
    • Work effectively as a team member.

Hiring drive note

  • This is an invite‑only hiring drive scheduled for Saturday, 20 June 2026.
  • Candidates must be pre‑screened and formally invited by the Talent Acquisition team to attend interviews at the Vadodara office.
  • Roles will be offered at Engineer / Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer levels, depending on experience and skills. Compensation and grades will be aligned accordingly. Opportunities may be offered as permanent or fixed‑term positions.
