Lycopodium Philippines is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Engineering team in Manila.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the delivery of accurate, professional and compliant design deliverables using Company approved systems and procedures.

• Provide proficient and accurate design input for the production of mechanical drawings.
• Ensure correctly specified equipment is sourced to meet project deliverables.
• Develop designs in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units.

The tasks you'll perform

• Conduct timely reviews of Project mechanical drawings and perform accurate engineering design and calculations.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritise where necessary to achieve agreed deliverables to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
• Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes and liaise with and provide professional support to drafting team in the preparation of drawing deliverables.
• Review vendor certified documentation and disseminate the information to the appropriate personnel.
• Contribute to engineers in trainings professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development and travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.
• Produce accurate engineering lists including but not limited to: equipment, lubrication, spares, valves, pipeline and special work.

The expertise you'll bring

• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
• Provide mentoring and identify avenues of professional development.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
• Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skill with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
