Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Plastics) to strengthen our ambitious mechanical design team in Kaunas OR Vilnius, Lithuania. You will work with the leading networking solutions in the world.

Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

In this role, you will:

  • Design plastic components, create 3D models and prepare 2D technical drawings;
  • Develop, implement and maintain plastic component design guidelines across the Mechanical Engineering team;
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Mechanical Design Engineers on plastic design and injection molding-related topics;
  • Collaborate with suppliers to review and align injection mold designs;
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality teams, providing technical support and addressing product quality-related issues;
  • Analyze existing Teltonika Networks plastic products and identify opportunities for design, manufacturing and cost optimization;
  • Propose and implement improvements to existing plastic products and their manufacturing processes.

What we expect of you:

  • Higher education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in plastic component design, injection mold design, or a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of plastic component design principles and technologies, demonstrated through practical examples;
  • Good understanding of injection mold design and manufacturing, including their impact on the quality and cost of the final product;
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding technologies and the impact of process parameters on final product quality;
  • Experience with CAD systems (SolidWorks is an advantage);
  • Experience with injection molding simulation software (Moldflow is an advantage);
  • Technical English skills for documentation and communication with suppliers;
  • Experience with GD&T and its practical application in metrology.

Salary

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary matching your skillset and field expertise. The salary for this position ranges from 30 Eur/h up to 40 Eur/h (~ 5010 Eur—6680 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise, with the option to get bonuses.

*In an employment agreement, we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
