We are working alongside a Growing M&E Consultancy based out of Dublin 2 who are actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team under a Hybrid working model. The role will be working on projects across multiple industries. The successful candidate will bring strong technical capability, a proactive mindset and 5 to 10 years’ relevant industry experience to thrive in this environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver mechanical design solutions across commercial, residential and mixed use projects
• Prepare detailed mechanical design calculations, drawings and specifications
• Assist in the development of project concepts through to detailed design and construction stages
• Have full responsibility for a project from inception to completion
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects and other design team members
• Ensure designs comply with current Irish and European standards and regulations
• Support site inspections, technical queries and design reviews during construction
• Contribute to project reports, design documentation and tender packages
• Support junior engineers and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in a mechanical design role within a consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of building services mechanical systems and relevant standards
• Experience producing mechanical designs using industry standard software
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a design team
• Ambition to progress technically and professionally within a growing consultancy
