An innovative clean energy technology business is developing next-generation power systems designed to support the global transition away from fossil fuels. Working at the forefront of advanced engineering, prototype development and complex system integration, the business is scaling its technical build capability as it moves towards commercial deployment.
We’re seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Build Technician to join the prototype machining and fabrication team. You’ll take ownership of complex mechanical builds, from tube assemblies and piping systems through to larger engineered systems and facilities installations, bringing practical expertise and initiative to every project.
This role would suit an experienced build technician who thrives working hands-on with complex systems, enjoys solving technical build challenges, and wants to be part of an innovative engineering environment delivering real-world technology.

Building and installing complex mechanical systems, pipework and technical hardware independently and as part of a team
Assembling tube, pipe and valve systems using compression fitting systems
Supporting the build of larger engineered systems and prototype assemblies
Installing mechanical pipe runs, valves and associated hardware to engineering drawings and specifications
Following work instructions and producing build documentation where required
Maintaining high health & safety standards, including COSHH and risk assessment compliance
Ordering consumables and supporting efficient management of build materials
Identifying and resolving practical build issues, feeding back improvements to the Engineering Team
Supporting facilities upgrades and infrastructure installation projects
We’re keen to speak with people with experience in:
Extensive hands-on experience building complex mechanical systems
Mechanical assembly within gas handling, process equipment, aerospace, specialist gas, laboratory or similar technical environments
Tube, pipe, valve and mechanical system assembly
Compression fitting systems (Swagelok, Parker, Fitok or similar)
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
Building larger integrated mechanical systems or technical infrastructure
Strong practical problem-solving skills within prototype or engineering build environments
