"- Run Distribution Requirement Planning process on its perimeter.
- Define and update stock parameters to achieve service level objectives while optimizing inventory level.

Entry level with Advanced Education to 3 years experience but may have some general working experience or obtained broad knowledge through extensive work experience in relevant role(s) plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw materials requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse and production. May use Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. May negotiates lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.

The Material Planner at Gutor Electronics ensures uninterrupted material availability for production and service in an Engineering‑to‑Order environment. The role manages international suppliers, drives operational procurement and planning, and optimizes inventory levels. Additionally, this position leads process improvements, supports sourcing activities, and provides guidance to global planning colleagues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Planning & Procurement
Execute material planning and operational procurement for assigned commodities.
Ensure material availability through daily follow‑up, expediting, backlog recovery, and shortage management.
Create demand forecasts and maintain accurate delivery dates and confirmations in SAP.
Monitor and optimize inventory levels, avoiding excess and obsolescence.
Support preparation of RFQs, frame contracts, and logistic agreements.
Supplier Management
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply issues.
Build strong supplier relationships and support tactical escalations when needed.
Handle supplier quality issues and coordinate returns.
Provide inputs for supplier performance ratings.
Master Data, Reporting & Improvement
Maintain and optimize SAP material master data and planning parameters.
Generate reports on inventory, procurement activities, and shortages.
Check customs assessments and supplier invoices.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED
Minimum 5 years of experience in material planning or similar supply chain role.
Education in Procurement/Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of inventory management and ERP systems (SAP R/3; S/4HANA is a plus).
Proficient in MS Excel and technically adept (BOMs, specifications).
Fluent in English.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Confident in supplier management, escalations, and cross-functional alignment.
Experience in an ETO production environment.
Proactive, hands‑on, and solution‑oriented mindset with strong accountability.
