About this Role

The Senior Marketing Specialist, Tradeshows & Events is responsible for leading Quanta Services' tradeshow program from concept through execution. This is a tradeshow-first role designed for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will own every aspect of the tradeshow experience, from booth placement and logistics to apparel coordination and customer dinners. Beyond tradeshows, this position also provides support for select high-level customer events, including the Presidents Meeting, Utility Perspectives, the Houston Open, and similar marquee engagements. Significant travel is required.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the full tradeshow lifecycle from initial planning through onsite execution, serving as the primary point of accountability for all show-related deliverables.
  • Research and select booth locations for the following year's tradeshow calendar.
  • Coordinate branded swag, giveaways, and employee apparel for each show, tailoring selections to the specific industry and audience.
  • Partner with the graphics team to develop booth graphics and materials that reflect the appropriate brand messaging for each tradeshow's industry and audience.
  • Manage hotel block reservations for attendees across all assigned shows.
  • Research dinner venues near each tradeshow location and coordinate reservations, private dining rooms, restaurant buyouts, and menu planning for customer dinners tied to the event.
  • Handle all additional tradeshow logistics and coordination details from start to finish.
  • Provide onsite support as needed to ensure seamless execution at each event.

Event Support (Secondary):

  • Support the planning and execution of high-level customer events when tradeshow commitments allow, including the Presidents Meeting, Utility Perspectives, the Houston Open, and other senior-level engagements.
  • Assist with logistics, vendor coordination, and onsite support for these events as assigned.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by the role.

What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in event planning, marketing, or a related field; tradeshow experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple shows and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of moving logistics without losing focus.
  • Comfortable interacting professionally with senior-level customers and executives in tradeshow and event settings.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with vendors, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel, to support tradeshows and events throughout the year.
