Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee all aspects of external conference details such as budgets, sponsorship contracts, speaker representation, and pre-conference preparation with all stakeholders.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with division heads, physician leads and administrators to capture notable achievements, innovations, and recognitions.

  • Collaborate with divisions to develop and distribute content that elevates specialty visibility and supports reputationbuilding efforts year-round among national peers.

  • Develop and manage outreach lists for the organization and the various divisions. Conduct research and recommend communication tactics, outreach channels, and content themes tailored to each specialty’s national audience.

  • Maintain records of all expert opinion efforts across the organization and various divisions.

  • Identify and coordinate opportunities to enhance organizational brand awareness within national, multispecialty forums, including those focused on pediatrics, surgery, and other broad clinical audiences.

  • Lead annual voter mobilization campaign including identification of affiliated voter pool, voter education/registration activities, and other efforts to encourage affiliated specialists to submit nominations.

  • Provide quarterly briefings to the Rising Forward Core Team and the CMO on the organizational expert opinion strategy, divisional plans, and performance outcomes of completed initiatives.

  • Collaborate with External Communications Team to develop social media posts highlighting specialty achievements, clinical expertise, and reputationenhancing milestones Develop newsletters and other marketing materials to provide consistent engagement with targeted audiences.

  • Support additional writing, editing, and communication projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English or Journalism required. Strong writing and communications skills and an understanding of marketing channels required.

  • Five years of experience in marketing or communications, ideally in the non-profit sector.

  • Familiarity with healthcare a plus.

  • Experience developing digital content for the web and a comprehensive understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

  • Experience providing communications support for fundraising events a plus. Strong interpersonal, project management and organizational skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team; attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects under demanding deadlines are essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

Pay Range

$70,720.00-$115,627.20 Salary

The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
