Reporting Structure Reports to the Marketing Director

About the Role

The Senior Marketing Manager leads the strategy, development and execution of integrated marketing activity across WildBrain CPLG’s portfolio of entertainment, lifestyle, and consumer brands, including globally recognised franchises such as Peanuts, Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake and many more.

This role is responsible for delivering regional marketing activity, local market activations, and adapting global campaigns to ensure strong cultural relevance and commercial impact across the UK and Northern Europe. The role drives brand visibility, franchise growth, and retail marketing support across key licensing categories.

It requires a commercially minded and highly collaborative marketer with strong experience in brand building, entertainment, retail marketing, and integrated campaigns.

This position suits a strategic and creative thinker who enjoys developing innovative, impactful campaigns tailored to different audiences, retailers, and markets. Success comes from balancing creativity with commercial outcomes, building strong partnerships, and identifying smart ways to grow brand impact across the region.

Strategic Brand Marketing

  • Develop and deliver strategic regional marketing plans across CPLG represented and owned brands and franchises
  • Lead the development, pitching and delivery of integrated regional campaigns aligned with global brand strategy and priorities, integrating licensees and commercial partners where relevant
  • Develop and lead regional brand campaigns across key franchises, ensuring strong local relevance and commercial impact
  • Identify and lead opportunities to grow brand awareness, consumer engagement and commercial value across priority markets
  • Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen brand presence and maximise collaboration with licensees, retailers and commercial partners
  • Ensure all regional strategy, campaigns and activity align with global brand and licensor guidelines and objectives
  • Own regional franchise calendar planning and maintain a robust 18–24 month marketing roadmap across key territories

Campaign Development and Management

  • Lead creative ideation and develop innovative campaigns and marketing plans that engage consumers.
  • Develop campaign concepts that align with global brand strategy while being culturally relevant and tailored to each regional market.
  • Execute end-to-end marketing campaigns across offline, digital, social, PR, print, influencer, experiential and retail channels.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams, agencies, licensors and partners to secure approvals and deliver campaigns on time and on budget.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide reporting, insights and recommendations, including post-campaign reports and case studies, sharing learnings across the business.

Brand, Social, Trade, Licensee & Partner Marketing

  • Collaborate with retail partners on launches, seasonal campaigns, and activations
  • Develop retailer and licensee pitch materials to support sell-in and partnerships
  • Develop trade marketing assets, and regional campaign promotional assets in collaboration with global brands, global PR teams and licensees
  • Responsible for regional social channels and working with global social teams and external agencies for content development & approvals
  • Work with local broadcasters for marketing amplification and awareness campaigns

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with licensors, licensees, retailers, internal teams and external agencies
  • Partner with global marketing team, commercial, franchise and global marketing, creative, social, partnerships, LBE, content, legal & finance teams
  • Present marketing plans, updates and results to senior stakeholders, effectively communicating recommendations and building alignment.
  • Work closely with the global Marketing Director and wider Marketing team to align on plans and ensure a collaborative approach that avoids duplication of assets and maximises efficiency

Territory Scope

  • Northern Europe with UK and Germany as the priority markets

Budget Management

  • Support management of marketing budgets and forecasting
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered within allocated budgets
  • Focus on delivering strong ROI and commercial alignment

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in marketing, brand, agency, entertainment, licensing, or retail marketing roles
  • Strong understanding of UK & EMEA consumer markets, youth culture, and digital trends
  • Experience working in fast-paced, multi-market or regional environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Significant experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns and retail partnerships
  • Strong commercial acumen and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
