DESCRIPTION

The Senior Manager, Biopharma Marketing will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that position our chromatography and mass spectrometry capabilities as integrated solutions for critical biopharma workflows. This role will lead a team of marketers responsible for translating customer needs and complex scientific capabilities into compelling workflow stories, campaigns, and commercial content. This leader will partner closely with cross-functional teams to promote differentiated solutions that address the evolving needs of biopharma customers. The successful candidate will combine strategic marketing leadership, marketing knowledge, strong execution, scientific understanding, and the ability to align teams across a complex global organization.

What you will do:

• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies for priority biopharma segments, applications, and customer workflows aligned with strategic growth objectives.
• Lead the development of customer-centric workflow positioning, value propositions, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that connect capabilities across chromatography, mass spectrometry, software, consumables, and related technologies within and across different business segments.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of marketers responsible for workflow marketing, campaigns, content, and commercial collateral.
• Partner with product marketing teams to align product-level strategies with broader biopharma workflow opportunities and deliver a consistent customer experience.
• Translate customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and business priorities into actionable marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, demand, and commercial growth.
• Guide the creation and activation of high-impact marketing content, including workflow collateral, digital content, campaigns, presentations, sales enablement tools, and application-focused materials.
• Collaborate with commercial, applications, digital marketing, product management, and regional teams to activate strategies globally and enable effective customer engagement.
• Serve as a marketing leader and integrator across Thermo Fisher Scientific building alignment among stakeholders and driving execution of cross-divisional biopharma initiatives.
• Establish clear objectives and performance metrics, using market and campaign insights to optimize programs and marketing investments.
• Maintain a strong understanding of biopharma customer needs, workflows, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, marketing, business, or a related field required.
• Advanced scientific degree and/or MBA preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of progressive marketing, product marketing, commercial marketing, or related experience in life sciences, biopharma, analytical instrumentation, or a related industry.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic marketing plans for complex scientific technologies, applications, or workflows.
• Experience translating technical capabilities into differentiated customer value propositions and compelling marketing strategies.
• Prior people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and lead high-performing teams preferred.
• Experience working across product portfolios and functions in a global, matrixed organization.
• Travel up to 30% as required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New Jersey is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.
