The Senior Marketing Manager is a strategic leadership role focused on driving the marketing initiatives for the regulated service lines of Life Sciences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring that marketing strategies align with business goals while executing these strategies through the corporate marketing function. The Marketing Senior Manager will collaborate closely with the corporate marketing team to ensure the successful implementation of campaigns, product launches, and demand generation efforts tailored to the service line’s objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Marketing Leadership:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with the service line’s goals and the overarching business objectives, working closely with the General Manager to define priorities.
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing to ensure alignment with overall brand strategies and messaging, adapting corporate initiatives to meet service line needs.

Execution through Corporate Marketing:

  • Work closely with the corporate marketing team to execute the service line's marketing initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to brand standards.
  • Provide the corporate marketing team with clear direction on the service line’s marketing needs, including product messaging, positioning, and campaign goals.

Product Marketing Oversight:

  • Lead product marketing efforts, ensuring the correct positioning, messaging, and market strategy for new products or services within the service line.
  • Coordinate with corporate marketing for content creation, product launches, and campaign execution, ensuring a unified approach to product marketing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the key liaison between the General Manager, corporate marketing, sales, and product teams, ensuring alignment on strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Support corporate marketing with data-driven insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to enhance the execution of campaigns.

Market and Customer Insights:

  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activities to inform the service line’s marketing strategy.
  • Provide actionable insights to the corporate marketing team to refine marketing efforts and enhance the overall customer experience.

Lead Generation and Demand Generation:

  • Work with the corporate marketing team to develop and optimize lead generation and demand generation strategies that align with sales objectives.
  • Ensure marketing campaigns are designed to support sales efforts, contributing to pipeline growth and customer acquisition.

Content Development and Messaging:

  • Guide the corporate marketing team in the creation of marketing materials (e.g., case studies, brochures, presentations, and digital content) that effectively communicate the service line’s products and value propositions.
  • Ensure all content is aligned with the service line’s goals and brand guidelines.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, working with the corporate marketing team to analyze performance and optimize strategies.
  • Provide the General Manager with regular reports on campaign results, marketing ROI, and performance against key metrics.

Sales Enablement:

  • Support the sales team by ensuring they are equipped with the right tools and marketing collateral to close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate with sales enablement to develop materials such as product guides, presentations, and demo scripts.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage the marketing budget for the service line, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact across corporate marketing channels.
  • Track expenditures and ensure all marketing activities stay within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of marketing experience, with a strong background in B2B and product marketing strategies, ideally with a focus on service lines or specific industries.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively with senior leadership, particularly the General Manager and corporate marketing leaders.
  • Product Marketing Expertise: Experience with product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, operations) and external agencies or corporate teams to execute marketing strategies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to use data to make informed decisions and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Experience with digital marketing strategies, including SEO/SEM, content marketing, and social media marketing.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.
