Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager, Growth, Media & Partnerships — Exteriors is a paid media leadership role responsible for driving measurable growth across the Exteriors brands, including James Hardie, Hardie, AZEK, and Versatex. Reporting to the Senior Director, Growth, Media & Partnerships, this leader will set paid media direction across all channels for homeowner and trade audiences, connect investment choices to business goals, and manage marketing key performance indicators across awareness, consideration, demand generation, customer acquisition, and revenue impact. The Senior Marketing Manager will work closely with the Senior Director, a peer Senior Marketing Manager focused on Outdoor Living, an in-house digital media team, and cross-functional partners in Brand, Product Marketing, Creative, Digital, Analytics, Commercial/Sales, Communications, Finance, and agency teams to build and optimize paid media strategies that drive demand and business growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead paid media direction and growth strategy across the Exteriors brands, including James Hardie, Hardie, AZEK, and Versatex, with a clear connection to business goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Translate business and brand priorities into integrated paid media plans for homeowner and trade audiences that build awareness, generate demand, acquire customers, support channel growth, and contribute to revenue.
  • Own and manage Exteriors marketing key performance indicators, partnering with Analytics, Finance, Brand, and Commercial/Sales teams to define targets, track performance, diagnose gaps, and recommend action.
  • Own paid media strategy and management across all relevant channels, ensuring channel roles, audience targeting, investment levels, and optimization decisions work together to drive demand generation and growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Marketing Manager focused on Outdoor Living and in-house media teams to ensure Exteriors, Outdoor Living, and portfolio-level plans are connected, complementary, and measurable.
  • Wear multiple hats across growth strategy, media planning, campaign execution, performance reporting, agency coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Guide paid media briefs, homeowner and trade audience strategies, channel mix, budget recommendations, planning calendars, campaign measurement, testing, and optimization decisions for Exteriors programs.
  • Partner with Brand and Product Marketing leaders to ensure media plans reflect clear audience priorities, sharp positioning, compelling creative, and the right message by channel.
  • Work with Creative, Digital, Communications, Channel, Commercial/Sales, and agency partners to bring integrated campaigns to market with strong execution and clear ownership.
  • Support portfolio-level media planning by helping evaluate investment tradeoffs across brands, audiences, channels, and business priorities.
  • Use performance data, customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities, improve media effectiveness, and inform future planning.
  • Develop clear reporting, insights, and recommendations for senior leaders, connecting media performance to what is working, what needs to change, and where the team should focus next.
  • Help build disciplined processes for briefing, planning, budget management, measurement, testing, optimization, and post-campaign learning across the Growth, Media & Partnerships team.
  • Bring a collaborative, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach to a new team that is building enterprise capability across growth, media, and strategic partnerships.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in marketing, business, communications, analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in media, growth marketing, integrated marketing, performance marketing, or agency/client-side marketing roles.
  • Deep knowledge of paid media planning, buying, audience strategy, measurement, and optimization across channels such as paid search, paid social, programmatic, digital video, connected TV, streaming audio, retail media, and other emerging paid platforms.
  • Experience managing marketing performance metrics and turning results into clear insights, recommendations, and optimization plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive demand generation and growth through paid media, connecting channel performance to awareness, consideration, qualified leads, customer acquisition, revenue growth, and return on marketing investment.
  • Experience building paid media strategies for both homeowner and trade audiences while balancing multiple brands, customer journeys, and business priorities in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage agency partners, internal stakeholders, timelines, budgets, performance reporting, and campaign deliverables with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience partnering with Brand, Product Marketing, Creative, Digital, Analytics, Commercial/Sales, Communications, Finance, and agency teams to deliver integrated marketing plans.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify data into clear stories, business implications, and recommended actions for senior leaders.
  • A flexible, collaborative style with the ability to shift between strategy, execution, problem solving, and hands-on project management as business needs evolve.
  • Experience in building products, home improvement, durable goods, consumer goods, or multi-brand portfolio environments preferred.
  • Hands-on experience across paid media channels and digital platforms, with fluency in analytics, measurement, and enterprise media management and reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Advertising, media buying platforms, ad servers, data visualization tools, and campaign performance dashboards.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $129,000K to $164,000K. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
