The Senior Marketing Manager – IVF Consumables is responsible for developing and executing global marketing strategies that drive adoption, revenue growth, and competitive differentiation across a portfolio of IVF consumables. This role blends strategic marketing leadership, deep clinical understanding of ART workflows, and strong cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Sales, Clinical Specialists, Regulatory, and Product Management. The ideal candidate has experience in reproductive medicine, laboratory workflow optimization, and medical device or biotech marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Portfolio Leadership
Develop and execute annual global marketing plans for IVF consumables including media, culture, cryo, embryo handling, labware, and workflow-support products.
Lead portfolio positioning, segmentation, value propositions, and messaging based on customer insights and competitive analysis.
Manage lifecycle strategy including new product introductions, phased enhancements, portfolio rationalization, and end-of-life planning.
Own regional pricing strategy and margin optimization in collaboration with regional commercial teams.
Market Development & Growth
Identify and size market opportunities using market data, voice-of-customer research, and clinical trends in ART.
Lead campaigns to grow category awareness, including digital marketing, KOL engagement, and participation in global congresses (ASRM).
Support sales organizations with content, tools, and targeted programs to improve conversion and utilization.
Develop educational pathways and content to increase product competency for embryologists and clinicians.
Product Launch Excellence
Drive launch readiness and go-to-market execution for new consumable products.
Build sales tools, training materials, clinical evidence summaries, objection-handling guides, and digital assets.
Track post-launch performance, customer feedback, and required adjustments for product optimization.
Clinical & Customer Insight
Maintain a strong understanding of IVF lab processes, embryology workflows, quality control considerations, and clinical pain points.
Build relationships with key IVF clinics, lab directors, and embryologists to gather insights and test new concepts.
Translate customer needs into market requirements and collaborate closely with R&D/Engineering on feature prioritization.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with Regulatory, Clinical Affairs, and Quality teams to ensure compliance in all claims and promotional activities.
Work with supply chain and operations to support demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supply continuity.
Collaborate with digital marketing teams on content strategy, campaign execution, and analytics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
7+ years of marketing experience in medical devices, biotech, or diagnostics; 3+ years in IVF/ART preferred.
Demonstrated success managing technical product lines and launching new products.
Strong understanding of IVF laboratory workflows and consumable product usage.
Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MBA, MS, MPH, or related scientific field).
Experience working with embryology KOLs and/or clinical education teams.
Global marketing experience and familiarity with international regulatory environments.
Experience with CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation, and analytics tools.
Ability to translate scientific concepts into compelling commercial messaging.
