Senior Marketing Manager
Architecture & Design Firm | San Francisco, CA | On-Site

We are partnering with a nationally recognized architecture and design firm seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to help shape the next phase of the firm’s marketing strategy and infrastructure.

This role will work closely with firm leadership to strengthen marketing operations, elevate pursuit strategy, and mentor a talented marketing team while helping the firm continue its growth across civic, education, and community-focused sectors.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has already led marketing within an architecture, design, or professional services firm and enjoys balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

THE ROLE

This position serves as a strategic partner to firm leadership and helps expand marketing’s impact beyond proposal production to a more cohesive firmwide function.

Success in this role includes:

• Establishing clear marketing structure and prioritization

• Building scalable marketing systems and workflows

• Aligning marketing efforts with business development strategy

• Strengthening collaboration across offices and leadership teams

• Mentoring and developing a growing marketing team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with firm leadership on marketing strategy and infrastructure

• Strengthen systems, processes, and workflows across the marketing function

• Provide senior oversight of pursuit strategy and positioning

• Guide proposal storytelling, messaging, and differentiators

• Serve as a trusted advisor within a partnership-driven firm environment

• Mentor and develop marketing team members

• Support firm-wide business development initiatives
  

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 8–10+ years of marketing experience within architecture, design, engineering, or professional services

• Experience strengthening marketing infrastructure within growing firms

• Strong pursuit strategy and proposal leadership background

• Comfort working closely with partners and firm leadership

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

• Experience mentoring or guiding marketing staff

• Strong communication skills and executive presence
  

LOCATION

The role is based in San Francisco and works closely with the firm’s leadership and marketing team located there.

The firm is also open to candidates based in their New York City office if experience strongly aligns with the role.
