About this Role

The Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist leads the company’s marketing and communications efforts for both internal and external audiences. This highly collaborative, hands-on position develops professional, consistent, and engaging communications for customers, employees, industry partners, and other stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Planning and Project Management

• Develop, execute, and manage the company's internal and external communications strategy, including an annual marketing/communications calendar aligned with company priorities.

• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, and development for employee(s), assigning priorities and monitoring workloads, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and approval processes simultaneously.

• Track and report on the effectiveness of communications and marketing initiatives, adjusting strategy based on results

• Manage the company’s relationship with its outside marketing vendor, including project scope, priorities, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, coordinating work between internal stakeholders, the marketing team, and outside vendors, determining when projects should be completed internally or through an outside resource.

Marketing and Business Development Support

• Partner with Business Development, Estimating, and operations leaders to create customer communications, presentations, bid materials, and other content that showcases the company's capabilities, experience, and competitive strengths.

• Maintain current company information, project highlights, employee biographies, photographs, and other marketing resources.

• Develop professional, visually engaging PowerPoint presentations for customers, leadership meetings, employee events, training, and other internal and external audiences.

• Create and update brochures, flyers, advertisements, event materials, templates, and digital content.

• Work with subject-matter experts to organize technical or operational information into concise, audience-appropriate materials.

• Support the Business Development department in the coordination of customer and industry related events.

• Review presentations and communications for accuracy, clarity, visual quality, and brand consistency.

Communications and Brand Management

• Develop and distribute company announcements, newsletters, leadership messages, employee updates, and other internal communications, tailoring communications for both field and office employees using the most effective communication channels.

• Partner with Human Resources, Safety, Operations, leadership, and others to ensure employees receive timely and relevant information.

• Promote consistent use of the Service Electric Company brand across presentations, documents, signage, apparel, digital platforms, and promotional materials.

• Maintain brand standards, templates, and communication resources, and review branded materials from internal teams and vendors for consistent use of the Service Electric Company brand.

• Partner with Human Resources and other departments to plan and promote employee engagement activities, leadership meetings, recognition programs, community events, and company celebrations.

• Coordinate with Quanta Services, as appropriate, to support alignment with applicable brand and communication standards.

Social Media and Digital Communications

• Manage the company’s social media presence and maintain a consistent, professional posting schedule.

• Create content highlighting employees, projects, safety, community involvement, career opportunities, and company achievements.

• Monitor engagement, comments, and performance metrics and recommend opportunities to improve reach and effectiveness.

• Support updates to the company website and other digital communication platforms.

• Maintain organized digital libraries of approved photographs, videos, graphics, and marketing materials.

What You'll Bring

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or relevant knowledge or skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.

• 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing communications.

• Pervious supervisory experience, a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or comparable design tools.

• Experience with website content-management systems, email communication platforms, photography, or video production.

• Solid experience in Microsoft Office. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and experience creating polished customer, executive, and employee presentations.

• Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently with good time management.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Self-motivated.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: This position will work in-person in an office setting, but will at times be required to travel, including travel to construction sites.
