What this role is all about:

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist plays a key role in advancing Beem Credit Union's growth marketing strategy through the development, execution, and optimization of lifecycle marketing and automated member journeys. As a subject matter expert in marketing automation, this position is responsible for delivering scalable automation programs that enhance member engagement, improve conversion rates, and support organizational processes and growth objectives.

Working closely with CRM, Digital Marketing, Product, Growth Sales, Segment Marketing, and Technology teams, the incumbent leverages data-driven insights, automation technologies, artificial intelligence and best practices to optimize campaign performance and improve the member experience across digital channels.

This role is open to hybrid/remote working arrangements within British Columbia.

What you’ll do:

Planning & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Support the development and execution of lifecycle marketing strategies aligned with growth marketing objectives and Beem processes/member experiences.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for CRM (Dynamics 365), email marketing (Dynamics 365 Customer Insights), data and marketing automation platforms, identifying opportunities to improve member engagement and campaign effectiveness.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Technology to align campaign priorities and business objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing automation, enabling AI and lifecycle marketing.
  • Diagnose process or engagement problems, translate them into clear data and system requirements, and design automation solutions that scale beyond the initial use case.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

  • Build, test, launch, and optimize automated email campaigns, member journeys within Dynamics 365 Customer Insights
  • Execute and implement trigger-based campaigns, nurture programs, and lead engagement strategies, sales funnels, and member experiences.
  • Create and modify HTML email templates and campaign assets as required.
  • Execute A/B and multivariate testing strategies to improve campaign results and member experience.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve conversion, engagement, and retention metrics.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and performance summaries for stakeholders.

Data Management & Automation

  • Maintain audience segmentation, targeting strategies, and contact database health to maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Support CRM integrations, data quality initiatives, and enrichment programs to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain automated workflows, journey orchestration, and lead management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy legislation (CASL), marketing consent requirements, and data governance standards.
  • Troubleshoot marketing automation challenges and identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

Project Management

  • Execute complex marketing automation projects and initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team capabilities, operational effectiveness, and member outcomes.

Collaboration

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure consistency and alignment with business and strategic objectives.
  • Maintains strong collaborative relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to ensure successful execution of initiatives.

What you’ll bring:

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in marketing automation, lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Advanced experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics and Customer Insights.
  • Strong experience designing and executing automated campaigns, nurture programs, and customer journey workflows.
  • Proven ability to develop audience segmentation strategies and optimize campaigns through testing and analysis.
  • Ability to unite data from different sources, entity/table relationships, and segment logic within a CRM data platform.
  • Proficiency in HTML email development, landing page management, and campaign deployment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing reporting tools, dashboards, Google Analytics, and KPI measurement frameworks.
  • Experience managing marketing databases, data quality initiatives, and CRM integrations.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of privacy, consent management, data governance, and email marketing regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and lead projects without direct authority.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Compensation: Annual salary range of $69,500 - $81,800, with pay based on your skills and experience, and performance bonuses tied to shared goals
