(Senior) Market Researcher / Market Research Officer (Retail, Shopping Mall, Real Estate, Property)

A leading publicly listed corporation, this organization is one of the largest conglomerates in Hong Kong and China, engaged in diverse sectors including property development, retail, and hospitality. They are seeking a Senior Market Researcher with a strong background in retail research and analysis, particularly within the shopping mall sector in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the retail market environment and a passion for delivering insightful research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing analysis of Hong Kong shopping malls through studies and site visits.
• Perform desktop research on shopping malls, retail trends, and economic data to monitor market developments.
• Assist in the publication of reports that provide findings, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain databases for storing and organizing research data.
• Occasionally facilitate focus groups to gather qualitative insights into the retail market.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in market research or business analysis, preferably with a focus on retail.
• Familiarity with the shopping mall landscape and retail market trends in Hong Kong.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize key insights effectively.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working independently to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Chinese and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with Excel for data analysis and report writing.
• Candidates with experience in real estate consultancy are preferred.
