About Ipsos Public Affairs in Canada:
Ipsos Public Affairs Canada is the largest supplier of Public Opinion research in Canada. We conduct public opinion, social research and corporate reputation research for governments, public sector organizations, and the private sector to understand public attitudes, opinions, and behaviors on a wide range of issues: public policy, communications, stakeholder relations, crisis communications, issues management, advocacy research and media polling. We are known for our expertise in understanding citizens, stakeholders, and other target audiences.
What makes this role important at Ipsos?
This role is at the intersection of Public Affairs and Corporate Reputation research, helping our clients to better understand citizen and consumer expectations, so that they can help to address the challenges that society is facing. You will conduct both Canadian and international research, across a variety of clients in public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
What you can expect to be doing:
• Develops and delivers high quality proposals, research and insights to leading Canadian clients across a variety of sectors
• Collaborating with client-service colleagues and operations teams within Ipsos on client research needs
• Manage multiple research projects at different phases from proposal to insights delivery. Responsible for the client service aspect of the project, coordinating with your fellow researchers to ensure that the clients’ needs are met.
• With manager support, work to develop existing clients and new business streams.
• Once established at Ipsos, may act as manager to one or more Account Managers/Research Analysts. Includes overseeing training schedule, day-to-day guidance and supervision, and providing feedback (both ongoing and during annual review and goal setting).
This might be the job for you if you have:
• “Hit the ground running” 3-5 years of research experience demonstrating strong familiarity with the executional elements of quantitative research such as research/sample design, questionnaire design, project management, quantitative analysis, and report writing.
• 4-year bachelor’s degree or greater with a focus on research is preferred
• Creative problem-solving and project-management skills
• Strong competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Competency in SPSS is a bonus
• Strong Oral/Written Communication Skills, including qualitative analysis, storytelling and presenting
• Proven experience managing multiple projects, ability to diplomatically respond to conflicting client needs and timeline demands
• Proactive detail orientation
• Strong team player who can also work independently with personal accountability, and who is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong client service orientation
• Bilingual French/English an asset
In accordance with Ontario & British Columbia law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $73,000 - $75,000 CAD. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discrimatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
