Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Surveyor and Consultant to join our Noble Denton Marine Services team in Italy. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting complex onshore and offshore projects across Southern Europe, providing expert Marine Survey and Consultancy services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Primary tasks of this role:

  • Review and approve marine transportation, installation, loadout, lifting, towing, and offshore operation plans.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments for marine and offshore projects.
  • Assess vessel suitability for specific marine operations, including heavy lift, transport, towing, and installation activities.
  • Ensure an efficient & consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations
  • Issue Certificates of Approval (CoA) for marine operations when all warranty requirements have been satisfied.
  • Attend site surveys, vessel inspections, loadouts, offshore installations, and critical marine operations.
  • Coordinate MWS surveyors attendances on large offshore construction projects
  • Act as Project Manager on medium to large sized Marine Warranty projects.

Education:

  • Master Mariner or equivalent degree Naval Architecture, Electrical or Marine Mechanical Engineering or equivalent appropriate engineering/seagoing qualification.

As a successful candidate, you will also be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Relevant experience in marine survey, marine consultancy, or a closely related discipline within the offshore and marine industry.
  • The ability to write reports in clear, concise English.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of the wider team, recognizing differing priorities and working with colleagues to find mutually acceptable ways forward to deliver all the tasks within the timescales.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to plan and prioritize work – working under pressure to tight deadlines yet flexible and adaptable to changing needs and situations.
  • Willing to travel, often at short notice.

These competencies will give you an advantage:

  • Previous experience as Data Protection Officer.
  • eCMID / OVID qualifications.
  • Italian language knowledge.
  • SOMWS membership.
