Are you motivated by turning complex acoustic and electronic requirements into robust, scalable production test solutions? Then you might be our new colleague.
As Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be part of a team owning and developing our automated production test solutions for GN Hearing devices, ensuring that our products are tested efficiently, reliably, and in line with IEC/ISO and GN quality requirements.
In the role as Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer here at GN Hearing, a part of GN. You will define, implement, and sustain automated production test sequences in NI TestStand and related tooling, ensuring high yield, stable performance, and efficient cycle times in high‑volume manufacturing.
The team you will be part of
At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark, you will be part of the Global Manufacturing – Advanced Production Tools (APT) team and report to Head of Advanced Production Tools, Lars Jensen.
APT is GN Hearing’s central team responsible for developing and sustaining production test and manufacturing solutions across our global production network.
The team brings together software developers, test engineers, solution architects, and process engineers who collaborate closely with R&D, NPI, local manufacturing teams, and Digital/IT.
We value transparency, collaboration, and a practical mindset, and we work together to continuously improve how we design, deploy, and operate production test solutions.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:
Bring a higher education in a relevant technical field, for example Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or similar.
Have experience in manufacturing engineering with a focus on production test development for electronics, electro‑acoustics, or similar high‑volume products.
Have solid experience with NI TestStand for automated test sequencing, ideally combined with LabVIEW and/or C#.
Bring understanding of acoustic and electrical measurement principles, basic signal processing, and production‑relevant statistics (SPC, capability, yield analysis), and are comfortable documenting test methods for audits and regulatory needs.
Have a quality mindset and preferrable experience with quality methodologies and tools such as FMEA, DMAIC, MSA/Gage R&R or similar.
Are proficient in English, written and spoken; experience with hearing aids, audio, or medical devices and Danish language skills will be an add‑on.
On a personal level, you:
Make sound, timely decisions and follow through on execution.
Enjoy solving complex technical problems and use data and structured reasoning.
Collaborate effectively and help bring stakeholders together across R&D, NPI, and manufacturing.
Are comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete information while maintaining a quality‑focused mindset.
At GN we pride ourselves on encouraging flexible working whenever possible. We trust our people to fulfill their responsibilities, to know when in-person collaboration is better than hybrid, and to be present when it's needed most.
We encourage you to apply.
Even if you don’t match all the above-mentioned skills, we welcome your application if you think you have transferable skills.
We highly value a mindset and motivation that align with our core values, to not only ensure growth for you, but for your team and the wider GN organization as well.
We are focused on an inclusive recruitment process. All applicants will receive equal consideration for employment. As such, we encourage you to submit your CV without a photo to ensure an equal and fair application process.
